Christmas - Why It's a important Global Holiday (Also My Tribute to Jesus Christ!)

As I'm sure my readers will agree, every holiday needs to have an fundamental cause (real or mythical) for its existence. Now, if it's to be a global holiday, clearly, that imagine must be one that's universal, sufficiently prominent and relevant to population from all over the world so as to make them want to observe/celebrate it. Going further, to be on the top of the list of global holidays, the headcount of its supporters must be the maximum among that of all other potential contenders for the No. 1 spot. Nothing comes really close to Christmas in this regard, in my opinion!

(Note: Christianity is the largest particular religion in the world at the gift time. Christians form approximately 1/3rd of the world's population, followed by Islam, that forms a puny over 1/5th. Contrary to favorite belief, atheists & agnostics take 3rd place, accounting for a puny less than 1/6th of the world's population. Arguably, but highly probable, therefore, is my claim that Christmas has the maximum number of supporters. Also value of prominent intangible factors like peace, goodwill, caring, sharing etc. Need to be included, before arriving at a final score in case of an attempt at comparison). (Data sources: 1. Document titled H.Res.847 of the Us Govt Printing Office 2. Wikipedia 3. Wikipedia Reference 'Major Religions of the World').

Let us look at Christianity now, from the perspectives of universality and global relevance just discussed above.
